Igniting young minds to become inspirational leaders of our future
DET's Learning for Life program trains students from village schools studying in English reading, writing and speaking. Given the limited resources of schools in villages, the program attempts to augment the learning experience of the children to prepare them to be on par with their urban counterparts when they finish class 10. The 180 hour programme spread over a few months engages children in a number of fun-filled creative interactive methods. Computer classes are also held, where students enjoy discovering the many wonderful things a computer can do, thus preparing them for the digital age.
We believe the Learning for Life program is a game-changer in primary education in India. Using existing resources and providing skilled teachers, it enables children to greatly accelerate their learning, while still in the confines of their villages.
